Meetings

Guile and Zoom

AI Companion meeting summaries and who attended, read-only.

What Guile reads from Zoom

Guile reads the AI Companion summary of each meeting you hosted in the last 90 days, with who attended, one source per meeting, and checks for new ones every night. It doesn't read transcripts, recordings or in-meeting chat yet. It only reads.

How to connect Zoom

transcripts come, the recording steps come back.

  1. In the Zoom web portal, go to Settings and open AI Companion.
  2. Turn on Meeting Summary with AI Companion, and check that Only share meeting summaries by email is off.
  3. In Guile, open Apps and choose Zoom.
  4. Click Connect, then sign in to Zoom in the secure window from Pipedream (the service Guile uses to connect apps). Zoom's page names Pipedream, not Guile; that is expected.
  5. Read Zoom's screen. It asks to read your meetings, recordings, webinars, Team Chat and Phone. Guile reads only the summaries of meetings you host and who attended, and changes nothing.
  6. Click Allow.

If something doesn't work

  • Guile says Zoom shares summaries only by email: a Zoom admin turns off Only share meeting summaries by email, or lifts the IP allow list that blocks it.
  • Zoom says the app needs your admin's approval: ask your Zoom admin to approve it in the Zoom App Marketplace under Marketplace admin > App requests, then connect again.
  • A meeting is missing: Guile reads only the meetings you hosted that have an AI Companion summary. A meeting someone else hosted is read when they connect their Zoom.
  • You're on Zoom's free Basic plan: it has no meeting summaries for Guile to read.
