Three simple steps

1. Sign in to Guile and select your company workspace. A workspace admin connects Slack from Apps.
2. Approve Slack’s read permissions, then invite Guile to the public channels you choose.
3. Learning starts automatically. Review its progress and manage sources in Apps, and review knowledge in Brain.

Your channels, your controls

The current connector reads supported public-channel messages, and a private channel only after a member invites Guile and a Guile admin turns it on; then only the channel's members who use Guile see what it learned there. It does not import direct messages between people or files, and supports mentions and threaded replies in internal public channels explicitly enabled by a Guile admin. People at your company who use Guile can also message Guile directly: it answers from the company knowledge that person may read in Guile. A direct message stays private: it can teach that person's own memory in Guile, never company knowledge, and Guile deletes its copy of the conversation after a day. What people say in a company channel Guile is invited to can teach the company, under the approval mode its admins chose. Slack’s API limits and your Guile allowance affect import coverage and timing.

Enable or disable chat channels in Apps. Mention @Guile to start, then reply in that thread. Use the same verified email as your Guile workspace account; the installing admin is linked through OAuth. Shared channels and guest users are not supported. Pause learning or disconnect in Apps. Disconnecting stops future reads; saved company knowledge remains until you correct or remove it in Guile.
