Meetings

Guile and Fireflies

Meeting notes and transcript text.

What Guile reads from Fireflies

Guile reads each meeting's Fireflies notes (overview, action items, keywords and outline) and its transcript, up to about 6,000 characters a meeting, with its title, date and link, and checks again every night. It doesn't read audio, video or analytics. Fireflies keys can also change your data, such as deleting or sharing meetings and changing people's roles. Guile never does: it only reads.

How to connect Fireflies

  1. In Fireflies, open Integrations, search for Fireflies API and click it.
  2. Click Get API Key. Fireflies opens Developer settings with your key (you can also reach it from Settings > Developer settings, on the Personal tab).
  3. Copy the key.
  4. In Guile, open Apps > Add an app and choose Connect on Fireflies.
  5. In the Pipedream window (the service Guile uses to connect apps), paste the key into API Key and save it. Guile never sees the key.

If something doesn't work

  • Guile says Fireflies' authorization expired: the key may have been changed or removed. Copy it again from Developer settings and connect again.
  • New meetings stop arriving: your plan's daily limit was reached (50 requests on Free, 500 on Pro). Guile tries again later. Business and Enterprise count 60 requests a minute instead of a daily total.
  • A meeting is missing: Guile reads only meetings your account can see. Connect as the person who recorded it, or share it with them in Fireflies.
