Projects and tasks
Guile and Teamwork.com
Client projects and tasks, read-only: what is open, overdue and due soon for each client, and what the tasks and their comments say.
What Guile reads from Teamwork.com
Guile reads the projects you choose: each task's status, assignees and dates, what the tasks say and the comments on them, plus the names of your clients and your team. Teamwork.com gives a connected app the same access you have, including changing and deleting tasks. Guile never does: it only reads.
How to connect Teamwork.com
- In Guile, open Apps, choose Teamwork.com and click Connect.
- A secure window from Pipedream (the service Guile uses to connect apps) opens Teamwork.com's login page. Log in with your work email.
- If your login opens more than one Teamwork.com site, choose your company's site.
- Approve the connection. The page may name Pipedream rather than Guile: that is expected.
If something doesn't work
- Projects are missing. Guile sees only what you can see. Ask to be added to those projects, or have someone who is connect.
- Reading pauses for a minute at a time. Teamwork.com limits how many requests all your connected apps make each minute (150 on most plans). Guile waits and carries on.
- Your site moved to a new address. Choose Disconnect in Guile and connect again.
