Projects and tasks
Guile and ClickUp
Tasks and subtasks, read-only: what is open, overdue and due soon, and what the tasks and their comments say.
What Guile reads from ClickUp
Guile reads tasks and subtasks (their descriptions, comments, statuses, assignees and due dates), ClickUp Docs, and the names of your Spaces, Folders and Lists, in the Workspaces you select. ClickUp gives a connected app full access to those Workspaces, including changing and deleting tasks. Guile never does: it only reads.
How to connect ClickUp
- In Guile, open Apps, choose ClickUp and click Connect.
- A secure window from Pipedream (the service Guile uses to connect apps) opens and takes you to ClickUp. Log in if ClickUp asks.
- Select each Workspace you want Guile to read.
- Click Connect Workspace. The page may name Pipedream rather than Guile: that is expected.
If something doesn't work
- A Workspace is missing. You didn't select it. Disconnect ClickUp in Guile, connect again and select every Workspace you need.
- Lists or tasks are missing. Guile sees only what you can see. Ask to be added to the private Space, Folder or List, or have someone who can see it connect.
- The first read is slow. ClickUp lets an app read about 100 times a minute on most plans, so a big Workspace takes a while the first time.
