Guile and Smartsheet
The sheets you choose, read-only: what is open, overdue and due soon, and what the comments on the rows say.
What Guile reads from Smartsheet
Guile reads the sheets you choose: each row's status, assignee and dates, the discussions and comments on them, and the names of the people in your Smartsheet account. Smartsheet's page says the connection can also create, change, share and delete sheets and manage users. Guile never does: it only reads.
How to connect Smartsheet
- In Guile, open Apps, choose Smartsheet and click Connect.
- A secure window from Pipedream (the service Guile uses to connect apps) opens and takes you to Smartsheet. Sign in if Smartsheet asks.
- Smartsheet lists what the connection asks for. The page may name Pipedream rather than Guile: that is expected. Click Allow.
If something doesn't work
- Smartsheet refuses the connection. Your plan may not include it. It needs Business, Enterprise or Advanced Work Management.
- You sign in at smartsheet.eu or smartsheet.au. Those services can't connect yet.
- Sheets are missing. Guile sees only sheets shared with you. Ask to be shared on them, or have someone who is connect.
