Support and shared inboxes
Guile and Gorgias
Your store's support tickets, with your team's replies and internal notes, and who is waiting on a reply, read-only.
What Guile reads from Gorgias
Guile reads your tickets (customer messages, your team's replies and internal notes), your teammates' names and the names of your support channels. Gorgias's permission screen lets the app change your data too, such as replying to customers or editing tickets. Guile never does: it only reads.
How to connect Gorgias
- In Guile, open Apps and choose Gorgias.
- Click Connect. A secure window opens from Pipedream, the service Guile uses to connect apps.
- In Subdomain, type the first part of your Gorgias address (for example, acme for acme.gorgias.com), then continue.
- Sign in to Gorgias if it asks. The page may name Pipedream rather than Guile: that is expected.
- Read what Gorgias shows and click Authorize. Guile never sees your password.
If something doesn't work
- Check the subdomain: type only the part before.gorgias.com, not your store's web address.
- If Gorgias won't let you approve the app, ask a Gorgias admin to connect.
- If the person who connected leaves your Gorgias account, the connection stops. Connect again as an active admin.
- Spam, trashed and deleted tickets don't appear in Guile: it leaves them out.
