Guile and Freshsales
Deals, and the notes on sales activities and contacts, read-only.
What Guile reads from Freshsales
Guile reads your deals, accounts, contacts, sales activities and notes, plus the names of users, pipelines and stages. Freshsales keys can also change your data. Guile never does: it only reads.
How to connect Freshsales
- In Freshsales, click your profile picture, then Profile Settings > API Settings.
- Copy the key in Your API key. A key is a code that lets Guile read your Freshsales account.
- Copy the Bundle alias shown below the key, for example
yourcompany.myfreshworks.com/crm/sales. - In Guile, open Apps > Add an app and choose Connect on Freshsales.
- In the Pipedream window (the service Guile uses to connect apps), paste the key and the bundle alias exactly as Freshsales shows them, without
https://, and choose Save. Guile never sees the key.
If something doesn't work
- Pipedream says the key is wrong: copy it again with no spaces before or after.
- Guile can't find your account: check that the bundle alias matches Freshsales exactly, including the part after the domain, such as
/crm/sales. - Some deals or accounts are missing: the key's owner can't see them. Connect again with an admin's key.
